BIO BACKGROUND
Former Senior Editor & Travel Editor at GOURMET magazine - Wrote a travel column and numerous features including one that was awarded the pluma de plata, the Mexican government's highest travel journalism award--Served as a regular travel conference speaker and panelist--"Fifteen Minutes Of Fame" an interview on the Today show featuring the world's best beaches.

Professional Memberships:
Served as President of the NY Chapter of the Society of Travel Writers--Past Director and Current Member of the NY Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier and member of Les Dames d'Escoffier International--Current Professional Member of the James Beard Foundation and served as a journalism awards judge.

Current Local Activities:
Served 2 terms on the Culinary Advisory Board of Cape Fear Community College--Served as a judge at the "Got to Be NC" restaurant chefs culinary competition and the Make a Wish charity chefs culinary competition--Member of the North Carolina Writers Network and currently write a Recipe Reporter column for N2 publication's Landfall Living magazine.
